In the summer of 2017 I had the opportunity to create a few illustrations and design a full-spread infographic for Navy Pier's new visitors' guide. The Pier recently unveiled a number of dramatic new additions, including a huge ferris wheel, an improved waterfront, and state-of-the art relaxation areas, so my illustrations are centered around the ferris wheel's dramatic additon to Navy Pier's already iconic architectural silhouette.

The project gave me the chance to create a set of icons representing quintessential Chicago landmarks and experiences, including deep dish pizza, the Art Institute lions, Picasso's statue, and the Chicago Bulls logo. This visual language carried across into a small drawing of Navy Pier's memorable entry archway and the new architectural additions. I also created a set of six small vignettes to illustrate the Pier's commitment to sustainability.
