ONEXONE LECTURES / event poster series - 2011
As part of Cranbrook's OneXOne event, the school hosted a series of lectures and critiques, each by a different visiting artist or curator. I designed a series of posters for these smaller events. The visual language of the poster series deconstructed the elements of the OneXOne branding system itself, in order to create three visually distinct pieces with obvious visual ties to the parent brand. This project was an early incarnation of the idea of using detail, depth, and complexity to build a brand through evocative textures just as much as through traditional visual elements, like typographic continuity and logo design, a practice that I later developed further through the branding of the 22 studio and gallery.
